"And the winner is..." Port dues for vessels calling in Rotterdam are an important source of revenue for the Port Authority. The Port Tariffs department is therefore very keen to see shipping agents report ships' visits in the correct manner, promptly and accurately and pay their port dues to the Port Authority. At the end of 2008, Evergreen and Vopak proved to be the best at this. Top men James Yang (Evergreen) and Piet Hoogerwaard (Vopak) therefore received a "Port Dues Award 2008" from Joan Spee, head of Port Tariffs. Read full article.
